I’ve been looking for a way to integrate Google Buzz and my personal WordPress blog since Google Buzz was released earlier this year. This afternoon I thought I’d found a solution based on the description “BLUGZ” provided for it’s product: “Blugz for WordPress is a standalone, highly optimized Google™ Buzz™ stream importer for Wordress.” The plugin did nothing, albeit highly optimizing and streamlining my agitation.

The 2.9 release of WordPress added support for post thumbnail insertion, editing, and display. However, many themes haven’t incorporated this feature in their design or they still utilize thumbnail plugins. While many thumbnail plugins are great for additional bells and whistles (the ability to do advanced image editing, etc.) sometimes the cleanest and least cluttered way to display thumbnails is to add WordPress’s thumbnail codex to the theme itself.

When I recently imported more than 6 years of LiveJournal posts into Krississippi.com (a WordPress blog) I managed to have several thousand entries end up listed in the ‘Uncategorized’ category.
The only problem was, these posts were labeled as “Uncategorized“, but weren’t linked to that category.

Kudos to the Search Regex WP Plugin for helping me find/replace a few details I wanted to change in my blog (read: my son’s name). Seriously, the thought of doing all that work myself – post by post – was just… daunting.
