Some of you may or may not know about my other blog (and I don’t mean this one, either…) some of you may not even realize I have any blog other than Twitter, and even more of you may not have the slightest clue what I’m talking about. It’s ok, I’m confused, too.

I can’t do anything stress-free (or as close as anyone can come to it) unless everything else is in order without any loose-ends. This goes for relaxing at home (it won’t happen unless the house is tidy) hanging with friends (if I’ve got things to do elsewhere I don’t enjoy myself as much) and BLOGGING. Specifically, the ‘writing’ side of blogging… and oh, what a major task it has proven to get things going, again!

After a few formalities (Facebook, the Lisa Simpson vs. Chelsea Clinton’s wedding Twitter trend, and a Warcast update) we talked about early internet information-sharing (Usenet, Gopher, The Well), blogging past and present, and the future of blogging: writing with purpose.

I used to write every day, sometimes twice, occasionally more often… until I hit a figurative brick wall (writer’s block-wall?), reinforced it, and stopped blogging completely. I’ve been lost behind my own self-imposed wall ever since.

My departure from the blogosphere wasn’t explosive – it probably sounded no louder than a whimper as turned my back on blogging and slipped into more than of a year of near-silence. On December 31st, 2008 I wrote the last post of the 365 post challenge and then promptly (and deliberately) disappeared. After the longest, most difficult, and literally the worst year of my life, I no longer found solace in writing for the myself or the World Wide Web. I became disenchanted, discouraged, and incapable of blogging.

I’ll be in Milwaukee, Wisconson (OMG, COLD!!!) from Friday through Monday attending #ACTB. What exactly is #ACTB? “Angry Camp Tracy’s Basement” is basically a weekend long party full of geeky social media goodness and a whole lot of fun. How’d I get invited? I sorta invited myself (and was welcomed in) after I started getting to know many users on Seesmic.com. I’m ready… LET’S GO!

As of this post, I am 63 posts shy of meeting the “365 posts in 2008” challenge.
Technically, the rules say I don’t need to have all 365 posts on one blog, so I suppose if you count various other posts on My Kidney Blog and a tiny few on my A World of Adoption blog and my old LiveJournal, then I’m sure I’ve already passed the 365 post mark.

I’m two posts behind for NaBloPoMo, I’ve only written 14 posts, and today is the 16th of November. Obviously this year I’m going for the gross number of posts in the month – at least 30 – instead of one post per day.
