Here I go again – on yet another road trip.
#WTFAmI is all about road-tripping to find myself – to places near (Starbucks) and far (up to 3,000 miles in one round-trip) and is my personal twist on the often over-used question “WTF?”
It’s my way of asking (myself and others who’ve offered advice and insight) for more than a simple answer to “what,” but also to “WHO,” “WHERE,” and “WHY” – as in “who the ‘eff...

My departure from the blogosphere wasn’t explosive – it probably sounded no louder than a whimper as turned my back on blogging and slipped into more than of a year of near-silence. On December 31st, 2008 I wrote the last post of the 365 post challenge and then promptly (and deliberately) disappeared. After the longest, most difficult, and literally the worst year of my life, I no longer found solace in writing for the myself or the World...

Ask someone who’s never played a massively multi-player online role playing game (MMORPG) what they think of games like World of Warcraft and Second Life and it’s possible they’ll say they see them as an activity for less socially adept individuals and a waste of time and money. “Does #wtfami mean what the fuck am I? Cause if it does I LIKE IT.” (@eocean)
Here’s...

I believe that everyone I meet in my life is supposed to be a part of my life. I believe that [our] “lifepaths” cross for a reason.
So, yes – you are sharing in this part of my journey, and I hope you will for a long time to come.
We all need each other for different reasons. Sometimes the reasons are obvious and apparent, but sometimes they are elusive. Sometimes the reasons take a long time to become recognizable, and sometimes...

The authors of blogs certainly have different motives for blogging – so why do I blog?
I blog because I want to! Aside from that:
I blog because I want to share my experience and thoughts about adopting and adoptive parenting. I write about adoption because I believe my opinions are valid and should be recognized as equal to all other adoption viewpoints.
I blog because I want to connect with other kidney disease patients. I write about my...
THIS IS (part of) THE STORY...
...about one geek's life: A woman who is self-assured, but still sometimes feels like a girl. A human being who is not perfect nor lacking, confident, but sometimes reserved, outwardly courageous, but introspectively unsure. Someone who strives to lead, but sometimes follows, is happy-go-lucky, yet deep in thought, tough but emotionally fragile. A person comfortable in her own skin, but sometimes uncomfortable in society's, and who just wants to be herself in this brief period called 'life' and to find others to share the wonderfully confused journey down a path less traveled.
